1991: Early Resin Paintings

1992-1993

Around 1993 I stopped using resin on the paintings but carried on weaving them.

1993: Last of the Series

During this time I painted a new series of approximately eight round paintings that could be hung any way up. Below are four examples of the same painting. I exhibited this new series at the Wonton Gallery in 1994 which was my 19th solo show.

This was the final series of weaving the paintings. I stopped painting after this series and concentrated on my business making furniture and small carvings of fish and birds. I started back painting around 2002.

Original Paintings on Totara Boards

Totara Boards and Steel

Around 2006 I added steel inlays to contrast with the acrylic paint. Some paintings, such as the ‘Picasso Woman 2’ variations, were revisits of originals.
